Looking Forward to 2013

The coming year is set to be an exciting one! I'll be sitting my finals exams in less than three months. I've booked my flights for a journey to Malaysia for my medical elective, and planning to spend some time in Dubai, Indonesia and Thailand. Aside from enjoying the food, sights and culture, and I'm really keen on seeing all the great fashion in these countries for myself, from high-end abaya boutiques to colourful traditional designs. And if anyone has recommendations of things to do and see in any of these places please do share them!

I'll be posting lots of photos during my time there on the Hijab Style Twitter and Instagram accounts, so please do follow these for more regular updates. After that I will (hopefully, inshallah!) be graduating and finally starting work so I'm having to consider how best to keep Hijab Style going; which may include putting together a team of bloggers.

But for now, 2013 is about keeping calm, focused and looking forward to learning and enjoying new experiences!

Salaam Jana, you'll love the malls and street markets in Malaysia! I've been there and I love the food, too! Just be prepared for lots of insects and depending on the time of year you're there, the rain. Have fun! And happy new year!

Assalamu Alaikum.
Wow it sounds soo good!

I was wondering if you could maybe do a post briefly explaining how the medical course you're doing works?

Only asking as it sounds really interesting.. would you be traveling to work over there? sorry not sure what you mean by elective..hehe

I know it must be very challenging but your almost there in sha allah.

I pray that everything goes smoothly for you and you become successful in this life and the hereafter. Ameen

Thanks everyone for your kind comments :)

Elegance is an attitude: I don't know, it's not all that exciting, just 6 years long, a mix of lectures and hospital based placements. And yes the elective is a hospital placement too, which we can do anywhere in the world.

Aiyesha: Yes exactly! It's a great thing to be looking forward to after finals :)
