My favourite way of accessorising hijabs is with headbands. Try layering them with your long shayla scarves to add some glam for a special occasion, or just to change up your everyday style. These are a few of my favourites finds:
Mesh chain headband £7.50, Dorothy Perkins; Seed Bead Headband £12, Oasis; Feather And Gem Strap Headpiece £8; Satin And Diamante Headband £8, both Topshop.
I love headbands with hijabs! I wear them sometimes maybe not as fancy as these :)
ReplyDeleteIt also helps keep the hijab in its place and not fall of especially when your not wearing an underscarf.
I would love to see pics of people using headbands like these. I tried and it looked silly! Maybe I was doing it wrong?
ReplyDeletesalam,
ReplyDeleteI've never seen this done. Do you have pictures?
Any suggestions for how to wear them without giving yourself a headache? I can't figure out a nice way to place them while wrapping my hijab:(
ReplyDeleteIts nice with and without hijab! Gives the Grecian touch!
ReplyDeleteSome of the Muslimah Style entries show ladies wearing the headbands, like Jaida: http://www.hijabstyle.co.uk/2010/10/muslimah-style-jaida.html

Salam! I've never really given any second thought over wearing a headband on my hijab, however I'm so going to give this a shot and see if I can actually pull it off =D
ReplyDeletehello everyone sorry may the owner of this blog accept this I have beautifull headbands all handmade and I make also custom accessories half the price of those, please check my page here http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/Muslim-Elegance/156165227729714
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific idea! I also like to use sparkly pins and chunky jewel pins on side to keep it all together. They really do add a fabulous touch! I like sparkly scarves but they're often itchy so this headband idea adds the sparkle without the irriation!
ReplyDeleteI've recently started my own blog. It's called My Muslim Moments. Here's the link if anyone is interested in checking it out:

I've never worn this style, but the elastic headbands seem more practical as I would think that the normal open/plastic headbands would rise up. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love wearing headbands with hijab!
