I did a post last year here about different ways to hang your scarves. I've been using a different method for a while now though. This 3 tier over door towel rack from Argos I've found is really useful. Although it's meant to hang in your bathroom, I've hooked mine over my bedroom door. I hang three scarves on each tier, so nine in total; these being the ones that I'm using most at the moment. The rest I store on these trouser hangers in my wardrobe.
It's a really easy and convenient way to display scarves so you won't forget you've got them, and no ironing needed! How do you hang yours?

Salam thats a good idea, i use this from ikea

I roll mine up and store them in a hanging shoe storage unit (made out of canvas). There's room for two in each compartment and I can see them easily.
ReplyDelete:) i recognise one of those scarves...heheheh - very glad you have it as one of your 9 mains!
ReplyDeletewow. nice idea.. :)
ReplyDeleteIman...one of my friends uses the same thing you have! I loved it.
ReplyDeleteMy problem is that I live in an apartment with my husband. We have a total of three closets. My closet is the biggest, but it doesn't even fit enough of my clothes.
I wonder how my husband would feel about hanging something over his closet door. My closet has sliding doors!
Right now I store my hijabs in a large under the bed storage container from ikea, but I hate it because I can't see all of my hijabs at once. Plus, I hate pulling it out and I have to iron my hijabs every time I want to wear it.
I also use the hanging shoe storage unit...two scarves in a compartment, but I am finding that they get very crumpled! When I am in a hurry I end up not wearing the scarf I want because I don't have time to fluff or iron.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be able to find another way of storing my headscarves...but I think that I have to many!
May I have to do a sort through BEFORE I choose another type of storage, huh?
I use a pant hanger, the kind wear you can hang multiple pairs of pants. You can get a lot of hijabs on it. I have 2 of them.
ReplyDeleteI use what Iman uses from Ikea. I have two of them, and they're an easy and convenient way to see all your scarves. And I have a LOT!
ReplyDeleteOoh I love Iman's way! I'm getting tired of rolling them in my drawer.
ReplyDeleteSalaam alaikum,
ReplyDeleteI fold mine into a hanging sweater organizer in my closet. It's like a hanging column of shelves. I group them by color to make it easier for myself to pick something when I'm in a hurry. The best part about it is that the shelves are large enough in the organizer that my scarves don't get crumpled...so they usually don't have to be ironed before I wear them.
I use the ikea hanger, too. I am very lazy and so its pretty good - just thread the scarf through randomly and you're done! Only problem, with cotton scarves they eventually need a good iron out (but i think thats because i don't take the time to put them up carefully, like i said i just thread it through wherever). I should probably do a bit of a spring-clean though because i too only regularly wear a few of them. No point keeping them all hanging there!
ReplyDeleteI use to have them in a drawer, but funning out of place so baught this shoe organiser and I roll them up and put it in shoe pac that's made out of canvas and has clear plastic shelves ,,it slides under my bed and won't crease at all!! 24 compartments that hold up to four scarves in each , and its see thru so I can view them all and easily take out the one I require to match my outfit! before I got married I had them in a cubicle shelve in my cupboards
ReplyDeletethis is how i hang my scarves, each hole can have up to 5 small hangers ;D

This is a really cool blog idea! And you've got a LOT of great scarves!
ReplyDeletethat is a great idea! ironing drives me bonkers and i never thought of something like this! *sigh* i need your blog haha
ReplyDeleteI used to fold them and pile them- but it was really annoying taking them out and the pile kept falling so now I just roll them and make like a pyramid shape-colour co-ordinated too, it looks really beautiful and so easy to take one and put away
ReplyDeleteSalam sisters...
ReplyDeleteI use a simple but sturdy cloth hanger. I would fold my scarfs in such way that 2 scarfs can fit and be visible in one cloth hanger. To save up space, I would layer the scarfs on top of each other. Its a simple way and it doesn't require ironing so much. Plus, all scarfs can be seen as they are all layered. :)
