Muslimah Style: Sevilay

Reader's Contribution

Muslimah Style: Sevilay
My name is Sevilay, I live in Istanbul, Turkey and I'm a web designer.

My Style

I don't have a specific style, but I do love colour! My favourites are white, turquoise, fuchsia, yellow and red. When it comes to prints, I love polka dots but sometimes I prefer more exotic patterns.

It's important for me that my clothes aren't too tight, and of course that they look lady-like. I usually like to wear tunics over trousers or jeans. I'm not really a fan of skirts and dresses. When outside, I love accessorising with sunglasses, shoes and bags, as they are most compatible with my clothes.

Top Tip

Let your personality show through your clothing, whilst not forgeting your identity as a Muslim woman.

What did you think of Sevilay's style? If you want to be featured on Hijab Style, send in your photos and top tips to hijabstyle @ hotmail . co . uk by August 20th.

Readers will be able to vote for their favourite entry of the Spring/Summer edition, and the winner will receive a FREE hijab of their choice from The Hijab Shop.

Salam Sevilay, you look lovely dear, I really lik your clothes, your style is something I would go for most of the time, but with darker colours.
I loved the combination of brighter/lighter colours, looks so fresh. Thank you for your contribution and thanks for posting this Jana :)

Masha Allah she`s very beautiful! Her style is too!
My favourite would be the pic that shows she is sitting.
She must be one tough chick to go into the river! :D

As-Salaamu Alaikum to all,

She reminds me of me!
the first three colors she named are my FAVORITE!
Even when I attempt to stay away from exotic colors, they always catch my eye.
Sunglasses, shoes and pocket books are a most to complete my outfits.
And I always keep it modest as well, no tight clothing for me either.
Looking at her lets me see now why I'm always complimentd on my bright colors and how stylish I am.
The best thing of all, is that I do not feel as bashful when people compliment me. I sometimes felt like I stood out too much or attracted alot of attention. I realize it's just being artistic. And I can't compliment this sister enough on how beautiful her style, beauty and colors are.
