Muslimah Style: Sameeha

Reader's Contribution

Muslimah Style: Sameeha
My name is Sameeha, I am 21 years old, and currently a student from a small town called Bath.

My Style

First of all, salaams my beautiful sisters! I love that every one of your styles are unique in their own ways! It's fab - keep it up!

Secondly, I am crazy about fashion and can never get enough clothes, handbags and shoes! However, I love that fact that recently I have brought so many wonderful outfits for such amazing prices! Bargains are great - I love the summer sale!

Everyone knows me for my many hijab styles, I love trying out different styles, I love to experiment even if I end up using more than 2 or 3 hijabs!

I love to keep my style trendy and fashionable, yet covered. I don't really follow a particular type of fashion. I wear what I feel comfortable in but what I know makes me feel and look good. I wear colours that match my skin tone and will match colours so they 'go' together when I am wearing an outfit.

I love to colour co-ordinate, and match my outfits so they are similar and so that they don't clash, yet are not so similar that it looks too much! I usually wear a lot of black, white, cream and charcoal grey, but always touch it up with a great hijab! I usually buy from high street shops, but I always mix and match with items of clothing from different stores and maybe even online.

My favourite pieces of clothing are my leopard print dress and one of my many maxi dresses. My favourite print is definitely leopard print!

I always accessorise, whether it be with bangles, a necklace, shoes, a simple scarf with a pretty clip, and I always wear rings! I'll also go for a funky style of hijab, a nice handbag and even a nice head band to go over my hijab, which I have recently tried and tested and looks fab.

If you buy a nice dress on sale for a great price, why not accessorize it with an expensive pair of shoes, handbag or even jewellery? Always mix and match!

Top Tips

1. Always compliment your colours, never let them clash! Too much of the same colour makes an outfit look funny

2. Try out lots of hijab styles and find the one that most suits your style and face shape

3. Don't be afraid to try out new and wonderful colours

4. Be yourself and feel comfortable in what you wear

5. Never, ever be afraid to experiment!

As Salamulaikum Sameeha! Your style is definitely one of my favorites...you are so beautiful and amazing in your style choices..like a professional model!Although i am a fan of all your outfits, i particularly am interested in the turban/wrap you are wearing with the turtleneck. This is what I must wear to work, since I am unable to wear hijab there--I wear a turban/hat w/turtleneck and scarf that covers my neck and upper chest area. Nice to see it looking so chic! I'll have to try that wrap...any directions on this would be appreciated.

asalaam alikum warahmatullah wabarakatuhu

Thank you for taking the time to share your styles with us :) Could you please possibly show as to how to do the turban wrap?

Also, could any of you dear sisters please direct me as to where I may find a full underscarf - similar to the one Rabia Z is wearing in the following image (and one which is often found in her other designs): http://www.linkmuslims.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/rabia-zargarpur.jpg

I would like it to be in good quality - and should it happen to be an online shop - it has to be payable in paypal. I live in Toronto should you know of any stores that carry such under-hijabs :)

the yellow one is my favourite too! great combination of that teal greenish/blueish cardi and the yellow hijab. u look great in that colour! love the animal print hijab too, wish i looked nice in these colours but ive completely different skin colour so it doesnt really suit me. i prefer your look with less make-up. i think the more natural u look the more beautiful u r. too much make-up takes away from ur natural beauty. u still look nice but just better with less of it. hope u don't mind that comment, not bad intentions.

Mashallah, sister Sameeha, you are beautiful!! I love every single one of her outfits, but my favorite would have to be the golden brown tunic with the lacey collar and the striped gold and white hijab. and...omg she has really beautiful lips! Being of Jordanian descent, I have Mediterranean features (which include fullish lips) but Sameeha's are absolutely enviable! Mashallah! And her eyes are pretty too (:

Salaam Sister, I Have a question. I Am A revert so I Have started wearing Hijab. When it comes to matching my clothes I get confused. Like I have a pink maxi dress, but don't know what colour hijab to wear, or don't know what jacket to cover myself. I also have a green skirt but haven't got a top to go with it, or hijab. Lol it confuses me
