Shades of cream, beige and sand are always a fresh alternative to black come Spring. Great for combining with richer colours, the runways show neutrals can work from head-to-toe too.
Koi Suwannnagate blended shades to give a graduated effect on his gown, and added soft pleats for volume and movement. First lady-favourite Thakoon used finer pleats along the skirt as well as the bust line to add interest to his block coloured dress. Yigal Azroel went for a three-tier dress with a relaxed fit, whilst this Marios Schwab creation had a lot more definition with a knotted waist:

Aab do several abayas in neutral tones that are great for both work and everyday wear. Simple details like a soft cowl neckline and swirl corsage are a subtle nod to the shapes found on runway designs. I'd keep accessories simple and in complimentary shades for a crisp, clean ensemble:
Vanilla Essence abaya £69.99; Cinnamon Swirl Abaya £59.99, both from Aab; plain woven cream stole £18, Monsoon; beige bag £39.95, Leila London; Band peep shoe £59.99, Clarks.
