For US Readers

I've had a lot of requests from American readers to feature outfits with clothing from US stores. Unfortunately, I won't be able to do this on a regular basis, primarily because of lack of time! Also, the reason I only use UK shops is, as I've mentioned before, because a lot of the items I feature I try on myself, so I can see whether or not they are actually hijab-friendly and what sort of quality they are, etc. I see little point in posting items that the target audience won't find useful.

But here's a special post for American readers, a classic combo of black and pink, brought up to date with a silvery-grey scarf, patent bag and peeptoe shoes:

Fuschia cashmere cardigan $59.50; black shirtdress $34.50, both Old Navy; Beccalyn faux leather handbag $26.80; Morgan peeptoe pump $22.80, all Forever 21; gray kuwaiti hijab $16.99, Star Scarves; wide leg jeans $32.99, Target.

I love this outfit :) I wore a very similar outfit last week, indigo jeans, black dress, fuschia cardi and pewter flats, but my hijab was grey leopard print - it's a lovely colour combination.
