Salam aleykum, sister!

These styles look lovely. I like the V-shape in the front. But i was wondering; what is it that they wear under theyr scarves? Is it that plastic thing?
These malay girls really know how to cover up with style, mashallah :)

salam alaikum,

i am not malay but i am from singapore. The underscarves we use is those satin ones. It usually has some kinda plastic or soft cardboard like material sewn to the frontal area. After moving to usa, i realise i have yet to see a underscarve like those back home.

Assalamualaikum..

i am a malaysian malay..that is how we wear hijab in malaysia..by covering the chest. We love using a square piece of cloth...the underscarves are sometimes of satin or some kind of polyster i think. FS you are right, it's kinda plastic or cardbord sewn to the frontal area. And yes, we can easily buy it at the stores and it is very cheap.

The malays, unlike the indons, love underscarves of different colours.

ohhh i forgot to add...a thin sponge are best to be sewn at the frontal of the underscarf...more flexible and looks more natural

Assalamu alaykum!!

Thanks so much for putting up these hijab styles! I happen to love malay styles as they always seem to dress modestly AND gorgeously at the same time. :)

Jazakallah khair!
