Designer: Rania Al Bastaki

Rania Al Bastaki ( رانيا البستكي ) is an Emirati designer who creates beautiful traditional jalabiyas. Like Amal Al Ra'aes, she also features variations on the birqa during her fashion shows. You can visit her blog to see lots more pictures. My favourite has to be the blue in number 7:

no 4 orange with the embroidery is just divine, so sunny! I love the delicateness in the white one and no.7 is great too in terms of cutting. Now I feel like getting myself one. ^_^

what are jalabiyas, i mean they r not abhayas rt??? :s
but i loved the last one n the red one and the white one... others r very colourful n also beautiful ...i wonder if i can where them in india??

Anaya, jalabiyas are house dresses, whereas abayas are meant to be worn outside. That's why you'll find jalabiyas much more colourful and intricate. They're very popular in the Middle East, to be worn when entertaining guests, or at ladies' get togethers.
