Designer: Nawal Al-Maimani

When most of us think of abaya fashion, the first place to come to mind is usually Dubai. However, Saudi Arabia is also seeing a surge in creative and unique abayas.

Nawal Al-Maimani is a Saudi fashion designer, who started her label Nawal 8 years ago. But she doesn't just design abayas - her collection include thobes, wedding dresses and both hijab and non-hijab casual wear. Her store is based in Jeddah:

These are some of her designs:

Visit her website to see lots more. Liking the Saudi fashion?

Na'am!!!!!!! Love it. Especially the one where she is standing next to the palm tree. Beautiful fabrics on black are never wrong. The bottom outfit, with the hoop earrings, I would totally wear out with my non-muslim family. BTW Jana, thanks for the cape link. Mine disapeared: D
