AlRahada Abayas

AlRahada is (yet another) Saudi label that offers abayas with a twist. Some of their designs consist of a patterned long sleeve satin dress, with a sleeveless black abaya over the top. Personally, I love this concept. It could work for special occasions, as well as more everyday looks. The first abaya would be wearable, minus the extra fabric on the sleeves. Their other designs feature plenty of ruffles and tiers and luxurious velvets and satin. Saudi abayas are certainly giving Dubai designs a run for their money!

ewww, sorry Jana, but I don' like any of these! They're just a bit weird! I can't see what's pretty about these. I'd love for someone to explain to me why these look good. I just think they're too zany. (I am not a fashion nazi btw lol)! I'm open to changing my mind on them! :D

Anon 1, LOL hehehe why are you apologising, they're not my designs! Admittedly, I'm not so keen on the third picture here, but I do like the first one! I like to see something a bit more in abayas than just the usual black-with-a-bit-of-bling-on-the-sleeves designs you see so often. So many abayas look exactly the same to me, so these were a nice change :P

Anon 2, me too :D

I like the first and third one, and although the sleeves are funky..they're also a bit of a health hazard!

Me too... I like the simple and comfortable dress. The sleeves are too funky and i wonder how to do your daily activities with all this outfit. No 3 look neat, but still I just do not like the heavy design.. However thank you Jana because not all have the same taste as mine...

I like them and have fun with Princess sleeves albeit not at work. Alot of Saudi women don't have to work so the Princess sleeves are perfect for the princesses: D. Also, mommies on the run should avoid princess sleeves/ I love them though.

Jana, I absolutely love #s 1, 2 & 4... with 4 being my fav! Love this blog, too, mash'Allah! If you want to see a tutorial on the braided hijab style, check out Amenakin on YouTube. She rocks!
