Omani Fashion on the Runway

Amal Al Ra'aes is an Omani designer who featured her beautiful collection of traditional clothing during a fashion show in Manama, Bahrain on July 5th, 2008. The intricate detail on these is just amazing - I would definitely wear the blue and white outfit (minus the birqa)! And what is unusual is that the birqa is usually presented (if at all) with a headcovering, but here, some of the models wear it on it's own, almost like a Venetian masquerade:

i want the blue and white one too!
some of these outfits have a very exotic feel... and like a true gulf designer, all out on the details!

she herself looks very simply presented though, which i really like :)
