Silver Sparkle

One of the things I discovered at the Expo was a new shop called Sedoo Creations that sells hijabs, abayas and jewellery! I bough the most beautiful grey and silver hijab from them for £5, and best of all it has no tassels!! Unfortunately, they don't have a website, but they do have a shop in Walthamstow (all the way at the end of the Victoria line grr!) Their address is: 156A High Street, Walthamstow, E17 7JS.

I'm already planning outfits for Autumn - with this hijab, I'd wear my black satin shirtdress with lots of silver necklaces layered over it, light grey trousers and a purple clutch to add some colour:

Grey and silver hijab £3.99, Muslim Base; formal trouser £20, New Look; charm drop necklace £15, Debenhams; Pigments Station Necklace £15, Accessorize; purple bag £20, Debenhams; corsage sandal £45, Barratts.

Hi, I've been following your blog for a while.I'm kind of a hijab-wearer.I say 'kind of' because though I wear hijab most of the time,I secretly hate it(I was pressured by my family to wear).

Anyway, the info on your blog is useful & I may be digressing, but could you give tips on how a short hijabbed girl can dress up to look taller? I'm only 5 ft tall. I'm sick of wearing heels all the time. A common tip I know is to show the neck but that's ruled out since the socalled 'proper' way to wear hijab is to COVER the neck.

They say 'wear short tops' to elongate the legs but THAT's probably ruled out too since the socalled proper way for a hijabi to dress up is to preferably cover the butt & not be too tight & too shapely.

By the way, in my country, there's no winter; in fact it's quite hot often, so wearing more than one layer of clothing is undesirable.

Thanks for reading my comment & i await your reply which you can write as a blog entry since I read your blog anyway.

Regards
Vee

Basbousa thanks! It's not working on blogger either!

Vee, I'm sorry to hear that you were pressured into wearing it. It feels silly of me to give you advice on what to wear when really there seems to be a bigger issue at hand. But to answer your queiry, someone also left a similar request in the comments section for the 'orange delight' post. Another tip is to wear maxi dresses - the make everyone look taller! If you want to talk about anything feel free to email me.
