Still having trouble with the Turkish style hijab? Uzman TV has several videos showing exactly how to do it! Some of the styles would be perfect for a wedding or engagement. Here's one to get you started:
i likey :)
Hayah: someone sweetly left the link for this on Beautiful Muslimah and I had no idea how to post videos---how do you?---and thanks for doing it for me!!!!!: D
i always wanted to know how they did the big head thing :-)
Assalamu alaikom,I don't like the "big head" thing, myself... reminds me of the hadith about women with camel humps on their heads! Anyway, I love the Turkish scarves but I hate working with small scarves.
Selamsaleykum, I am Turkish and I wear this style myself. Most women don't have long hair and if they do they may still add another scarf around their ponytail for extra volume. Myself, I put my hair in a very high ponytail then wrap another scarf around it in a bun.
Camel heads doesn't have anything to do with hijab dear sisters: DIn classical arabic (hard to get through interpetations) it is talking about the punishment for women who wear see-through or tight clothes. These vain women will appear as ugly as having undsightly humps on their head in Jahanum.
I like the fancy video where she uses pins to make a neat design with the scarf and then adds glitter as a finishing touch. Could some translate it? I would be so grateful.
Just found this blog and I love it. I plan to start wearing the headscarf soon Inshallah so this has provided me with alot of information and inspiration. JKAaliyah
Mashallah. I just realise how these beautiful turkish women scarfs stands like an arc and not like an inverted V straight at the forehead. They use a film to support it and then hairspray it. Wow. Gotta try! ^_^
I love the way it looks but there are wayyyy too many pins involved for my liking...ill be too scared to hug anyone!!!ouch...
thanks so much for putting this up :Dyou saved me from doing the research myself ;) hehei tried the look today... i love it even more when wearing it!!! :D thank youuuuuu!!!
ahhh now i know how you get that lump look at the back of the head, I've always wanted to know how girls do that!

I am living in Turkey right now, but I am neither Turkish nor Muslim. Would you recommend a headscarf for a foreign woman traveling through the country? I was told that it might help thwart unwanted attention.
