Modern Bedouin

The combination of black and gold always reminds me of Bedouin women. This outfit is pretty much identical to one I wear...and I know some of you will recognize it (sshh..don't tell!). In my version, the skirt I have is from Turkey and decorated with gold embroidery. The headband can be worn layered in the shayla as shown previously here.

Gold batwing top £25, Dorothy Perkins; black skirt £50, Debenhams; black long sleeved top £7, Dorothy Perkins, chiffon scarf £3.99, Scarf World; sequin headband £2.89, Glitz4Girls; filigree ring £8, multi-bead necklace £12, both Topshop; peep-toe shoes £35, Barratts.

you can get so many different styles using a black skirt. For an elegant look I would add some golden touches or embellishment.

i love the outfit but i think the skirt would reveal my shape (because of these big hips/thigh of mine)....any other suggestions for a black skirt
