Eternal Peace asked me to find some cotton kaftans like the one the woman is wearing in the last picture of my post 'Hijab in the Middle East'. You can often find kaftans in the swimwear section of shops, so be sure to check there, and not just in the regular clothing. ABAKaftans is a great website that has a range of short and long kaftans. Lebsa.fr is based in France, but ships to the UK, and has some beautiful Morrocan style tops. Most of these also come in alternative colours:

salam, masha'allah sis.. i love em :P the problem with finding kaftans in swimwear sections I find is that they are always sheer and not much good for covering in that perspective. Thanks sis. Ohh.. I miss Asda!

Thanks everyone!

Ammena: Yeah you do need to be careful of those sheer kaftans. But even if I find an opaque one, I still need to wear a cotton long sleeve t shirt underneath anyway.

Salaam Aleikum.

You cost me money again!!!

Primark have some nice kaftans in their swimwear section - they also sell the essential long-sleeved cotton t-shirts!!

Thank you for your wonderful site.
