A new abaya shop has opened in Angel, where the sisters design and custom make beautiful products. If you have been there let me know what it's like!

i got a abaya from there and it was really gorgeous an outfit one can wear for all occasions.
the actual shop is really cute it has a boutique feel to it. cos the business is new the sister who owns it got some floor space at the back of an internet shop but one word of advice dont judge the outside of the shop to whats inside cos they are in different leagues. any sister who wants the dubai style abayas, at a resonable price (the sister was saying that it ranged from £35-40) should really go to it. anyways salaamalakum

Salam Hayah and anon,

I also bought an abaya from there too. I must say that although it is located in the back section of an internet cafe, it looks elegant and impressive. I purchased a lovely silver embroided abaya especially for last Eid. I am so glad that I have found a shop located conveniently in central London and that I no longer have to make long trips to whitechapel for the overpriced abayas that I as a student cannot afford. The sisters there are friendly, very helpful when it comes to choosing the right outfits that suit you best and even have a changing room - giving you plenty of time to pick out the abayo of your choice. Because the sisters are startng out, they are keen to hear what each individual have to say about the abayas and to incooperate it to their next collection. Which means everyone will get what they want. I came out satisfied with an islamically and aesthetically acceptable abaya. It looks so good that even my non-islamic friends have commented at uni.

Well, I think I've said enough. How about you check it out for yourself and write back what you think. ;-)

Salaam

Thank you N, for that very helpful post! Inshallah when I have some spare time I'll check it out, though it's far from where I go to uni :( So how much do they charge for an average abaya, not the Dubai ones that anon mentioned?

I also have bought an beautiful silky abaaya from this shop in Angel. I went inside and seriously i didnt know which one to buy they were all georgeous. I was told that they were all personal designs which adds to the uniqness of the abaya's. I recommend everybody to go to this shop. Each time i wear my different abaya's almost always i get stopped in the street and asked where i bought them from. Thanks alot La Veil.

Salaam aleykum

I have finally found where many sisters who have been to our shop found our name from. Non-muslim l;adies also have been to our shop after they read your blog. They kept talking about this particular blog. MaashaAllah here you find wealth of information and we got inspired by it. We are the sisters who own La Veil Abayas and We are so glad that many of the sisters above loved our designs and clothes. Inshallah those who havent been, you are most welcome to come, even if it is to say salaam. We havent got a website just yet as we are working on it but we do have two facebook groups where you can see couple of pics of our abayas.

Jazaakallah kheyr for your support sisters.

Salaam

I had no difficulty finding the shop, and the abayas were all very beautiful. Unfortunately although there were many choices of lengths, there was only one size in width, and I could not get one in my size.

I was later able to get one at Shepherd's Bush Markets.

Salaam, I've heard so many good reviews about this shop but live up north so wouldn't be able to visit. Do they have a website or do mail order? Jazakallah khair x

Sister Anon
I am sorry that you couldnt find your size in width in our shop, mainly because you came at the end of our summer collection. We cater for sisters of in-between sizes such as a sister with 54 body and 58 length, or 54 body/56 length as well as the standard sizes which are 52,54,56,58,60 and some 62s. Sizes 52,54 and 56, and the in-betweens are the most popular. This may explain why you couldnt find your size.
Nevertheless sister, thank you for the kind comments and we hope to see you soon, in the hope that we can assist you better inshaAllah.

oh..And thanks to Jana and all the sisters for their continued support. May Allah reward you for your kindness.

I just got back from this lovely shop and bought my very first abaya. All designs are beautiful and it was really difficult to choose. The prices are also very reasonable. Amina from La Veil was very helpful and gave me a small present as I am joining Islam soon! I recommend this boutique to everybody. Wishing good luck to La Veil.

salam,

is this the correct address because I went there especially to go to this shop and could not find it :( The address was of a flat type building with buzzers. I read the addresses/names next to the buzzer but could not see la veil. Which shops is la veil next to?
